It started years back, when I made it a point to reflect on how my life is going-new things that are happening, the stresses that I've overcome, and the blessings that have been bestowed up on me. This week and all its events have been one that reminded me to be thankful.
I made a page for my side business on Facebook. I shared with friends and family and they "liked" the page. My friend, Nikki, shared it on her timeline. Within a few minutes, she was contacted by her friend who worked for KUAM, a local news station, asking if I'd be interested in being interviewed. I received a message form Joan Charfauros who extended the invitation. I accepted the invitation and we were set to do the interview a few days later.
As excited as I was, I was reluctant because I'm new to this business of retail. I've never owned anything and have no experience with stuff like this.
Day of the interview: I was extremely nervous. As I sat in the 'hot seat' of KUAM studio, I felt as if there were millions watching, while in reality, there were three people in the room: Joan, Mike the camera man, and myself. When the interview was over, I forgot what my responses were! That's how nervous I was.
The evening the segment aired, my family gathered in the living room to watch it. I was speechless- the piece was awesome! The editing was great, my products were featured beautifully and Joan's narration and story was great! I couldn't be more happy.
The days that followed were the best. Support was shown by friends and family on facebook. And my first sale from a Guam customer was made the very next day! I was overwhelmed with happiness!

Along with being extremely grateful of all the people in my life that support me and helped make all this happen, I am soooo thankful to God for blessing me with the opportunities. If it weren't for Him placing his faith him me and placing all these individuals in my life, this would never had happened!
Check out the interview!
