"Compulsive Liar:
A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually thought to develop in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning (unlike sociopaths), rather they simply lie out of habit - an automatic response which is hard to break and one that takes its toll on a relationship" Truth about Deception
A lie is a lie. Big ones, small ones, white ones, they're all the same. To the extent you decide to use or succumb to a lie is what can define a bug part of your character.
The article I read on The 'Truth about Deception' website is interesting. It started off with sociopaths then goes not to describe a compulsive liar. The main differences between the two is that a sociopath is smart about lying because his lies are 'goal oriented'. Compulsive liars do it as a response for everything. Lying is second nature to them.
These individuals more than likely have ruined a few, if not all ,of their relationships at some point in their lives.
I've witnessed a compulsive liar in action and I must admit, that although I am a very patient person, it really angered me. They lie about their family members' health, money, their true whereabouts, etc. what I do find entertaining is when I put pieces together and catch them in a lie. Their lying pisses me off so much, that it becomes hilarious when they are caught. Better yet, when they don't even realize they just outed themselves in a lie.
Ai adai, if you're going to lie, get your lies straight. Because you're making yourself look like an ever bigger fool. By all means, go on if your chose to, because they only thing you'll accomplish is getting me(along with everyone else) to laugh at you.
