Wordings of a 30 something year old working mother who tends to be in the back of her mind most of the time. An outlet that used to be in journals where the weapons of choice were a pen on paper, now keys to the screen.

Single White Female Status
"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"-unknown
You know my whereabouts
You know where I live
Your compliments are going overboard
Something's got to give
You hear my friends' conversations
You watch our every move
You try to talk like we do
But honey, we are never rude.
All of a sudden
you say you go to the same places we do-
Salons, restaurants, spas
to be someone who's not you
You try so hard
to fit right in
But as you try, you lie
That shit follows you until you die
First you're broke,
then you're ballin
you say you work hard,
but for the end result, youre just stallin
You lie about family
That's such a shame
because if I was related to you,
I'd be ashamed to share your name.
When a person tries too hard to fit in it's either sad, pathetic, or both. To go overboard and get caught up in lies or what seems hard to believe, just makes you stalker-like. When you say one thing, then the next day change it up to be the complete opposite, you need to seek professional help.
